BODLEIAN LIBRARIES WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
The Bodleian is one of the oldest libraries in Europe, and marrying inside it means standing somewhere that has been collecting knowledge since the fifteenth century. The Divinity School's carved stone ceiling is the obvious showstopper — a piece of gothic engineering that still makes people stop talking when they walk in.

A thoughtful approach to your day
Given how central and how visited this part of Oxford is, this is a day that rewards someone who knows how to work quickly and quietly around a working library.
Documentary at heart, editorial in finish, on a mix of digital and 35mm film — used to moving carefully in historic rooms, and ready for the walk out to Radcliffe Square when the light turns.
About the Bodleian Libraries
Weddings at the Bodleian are exclusive hire, and the Divinity School is licensed for civil weddings and civil partnerships. It holds up to 120 guests beneath a late Gothic, stone-carved ceiling, with a reception package if you want to stay on. Convocation House and Chancellor's Court take up to 100 for a ceremony only.
It is a dark, ornate room that punishes a heavy-handed flash and rewards patience, so I work with the light that is there and let the vaulting do most of the work.
The Bodleian itself names the Old Schools Quad, the Wren door, the Bridge of Sighs, the Clarendon steps and the Radcliffe Camera area as favourite photo spots. There is no on-site accommodation, so plan where you will get ready. Packages and availability are on the Bodleian's wedding pages: visit.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/venue-hire/weddings

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Oxfordshire?
Pricing depends on hours of coverage, day-of assistance and albums. Visit the Wedding Day page for full details.
Do you photograph weddings outside Oxfordshire?
Yes. I regularly travel into the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire, and further afield for the right couple.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 12 to 18 months ahead, especially for weekend dates at popular Oxfordshire venues. Early enquiries are always welcome.
Do you offer engagement shoots in Oxfordshire?
Yes, an Oxfordshire engagement shoot is included in most packages, a relaxed way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the day itself.
What's your photography style?
Documentary and honest. I capture the day as it unfolds rather than directing every moment, with a calm, unobtrusive presence throughout.
