The wedding day

JUST THE WHOLE DAY, PROPERLY PHOTOGRAPHED.

I photograph weddings the way they actually happen, not the way a brief says they should. Less posing, more paying attention — to the light, the room, the people in it. The photos end up looking like your day because they are your day.

Only need part of the day? As Long As You Need is a standalone collection, billed at £235 per hour.

How I Photograph Weddings

The whole day, properly photographed — digital, with film mixed in.

THE DOCUMENTARY COLLECTION — £2,200 FOR TEN HOURS

Guests around a long candlelit table during the wedding breakfast in an Oxford college hall

This is the main collection: full-day digital coverage, with film mixed in.

Full-day coverage, ten hours (additional hours £235), from getting ready through to the dance floor at the end, with a timeline worked out together beforehand. A documentary approach with a handful of proper portraits mixed in — candid photographs that actually feel like you, not a stranger's idea of you.

Several hundred fully edited, high-resolution images, delivered within six to eight weeks and yours to print and share freely.

The Analogue Wedding — from £3,200

Bride spinning in her wedding dress beneath blossom trees, shot on black and white 35mm film

This is The Analogue Wedding, shot entirely on 35mm film. The same documentary approach — I photograph the day as it happens, not as a brief says it should look — but on film, with everything that comes with it: the grain, the colour, the fact that I only get one frame of each moment, so I'm paying closer attention than ever.

Full-day coverage from getting ready through to the dance floor at the end, with a timeline worked out together beforehand. Up to 15 rolls of 35mm, professionally developed and scanned. Your film images, fully edited, delivered within six to eight weeks and yours to print and share freely.

A standalone collection, priced by the hour — for exactly as long as your day needs.

AS LONG AS YOU NEED — £235 PER HOUR

Some days don't fit neatly into a set number of hours. As Long As You Need is its own collection, not an add-on to anything else — billed at £235 per hour, for exactly the time your day needs, whether that's four hours or fifteen.

The hours are agreed in advance, so there are no surprises on the day, and you get the same coverage, care and editing as every other collection — just priced by the hour.

The short version

Plan it properly, then stop worrying about the photographs. That part's my job.

Wedding day

I turn up early and mostly stay out of the way: getting ready, the ceremony, the speeches, the dance floor, and the bits in between nobody thinks to ask for. A little direction for portraits and family photos, then I leave you to enjoy it.

Edit & curate

I choose and edit every photograph by hand. No thousand near-identical frames to wade through. If it's in the gallery, it's there for a reason.

Your gallery

Sneak peeks arrive within a few days, so you've got something to show people at work on Monday. The full gallery follows in six to eight weeks, to download, share and print as you like.

My process

Enquire & connect

Send me your date, your venue and a bit about the day. I'll usually reply within a day or two with a quote. If it feels right on both sides, a 25% retainer secures the date and the rest is due a month before.

Plan & prepare

A few weeks before, we go through the timeline together: when the light's good, how long family photos really take, and where we can slip away for ten minutes of portraits. Calls are unlimited, so ask anything.

Engagement shoot

A couple of hours together before the wedding, so the awkward first ten minutes of being photographed happen months early. Included with the Documentary Collection in Oxfordshire or the Cotswolds; otherwise £235 an hour.

Oxford, the Cotswolds

And further afield

Send me your date, your venue and a line or two about the day you're planning. I'll reply within a day or two, usually sooner.
