Oxford born, street photographer first.
I'm Keith. I grew up in Oxford, and before I photographed weddings I spent years photographing strangers on the street: fleeting gestures, odd light, ordinary moments that quietly said something.
Weddings turned out to be full of the same things, just with better clothes and a dance floor. I've been photographing them as Wychwood Weddings since 2016, mostly across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
Just the day, properly told
I won't spend your day pulling you away from your guests every five minutes. Most of it I photograph as it happens. I'll step in when a bit of direction helps, usually for portraits and family photos, and then get out of the way again.
The best photographs tend to happen once people forget I'm there. Before the wedding we'll talk properly, on the phone or over an engagement shoot, so the day itself isn't the first time we've met.
No stiff posing, and no standing in a field pretending to laugh at each other. Just the real thing, paid attention to.
For weddings that need a second pair of eyes, my wife Sara joins as second photographer. She takes the same honest approach, and you get two places covered at once.

The small stuff: a dad fixing a buttonhole, a nan's handbag on the pew, the state of the top table at eleven. Nobody asks for those photographs, but people tend to keep them.
Street photography teaches you to watch the light before anything else: a window late in the afternoon, the last half-hour outside. Film made me fussier still. If I move you two steps to the left, that's why.
