Wedding Photography in Oxfordshire

As a wedding photographer, I have been fortunate enough to witness and capture such moments of love and happiness. Each couple's journey is unique, and every wedding I photograph tells a story that deserves to be remembered for a lifetime. I grew up in Oxfordshire, and I just don't get tired to do weddings in this county. It has a rich history, amazing buildings and breathtaking landscapes, making it a really good setting for different kinds of weddings. In this blog post, I invite you to join me on my journey as I explore the wonders of photographing weddings in Oxfordshire.

1. The rolling hills of the Cotswolds

When I'm not shooting weddings, I am out on my bike for all sorts of adventures, which has been a brilliant way of learning every back road and picturesque corner. I've had the privilege of photographing many lovely couples in the Cotswolds, and my conclusion is that you cannot go wrong in this area! The quaint villages and the lush green meadows serve as the perfect backdrop for beautiful wedding photography. There are lots of options for your magical day, from grander venues such as Caswell House or Ayhnoe Park, to charming wedding barns, such as Stone Barn or Hyde House.

2. The timeless charm of Oxford City

Oxford, the jewel of Oxfordshire, is a city steeped in history and cultural significance. I really enjoy photographing wedding ceremonies in different University colleges and venues, including the Ashmolean Museum. It's always a technical challenge to give couples the best photography in complicated lighting conditions! These weddings tend to involve some walking between different venues in the city, which is a great opportunity to get some fun shots with a stunning backdrop of iconic buildings.

3. Following the river Thames

Over the last decade, I've discovered lots of amazing wedding venues along the Thames. The riverside provides ample opportunities for breathtaking wedding photos, from scenic riverside walks to adventurous couples organizing punting, kayaking, and even swimming! My photography style ensures that you capture good memories of all the happenings! There are so many different venues along the river, but I have a soft spot for the teams at The Perch in Oxford, and The Crown and Thistle in Abingdon, who are always really good at keeping my coffee levels topped up.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a wedding photographer in Oxfordshire is the opportunity to meet and connect with amazing individuals. If you're considering tying the knot in this magical county, I would be honored to be a part of your journey, ensuring that your special day is etched in time with photographs that tell your unique story.
